About
I am a native Californian transplanted to the Pacific Northwest where I met and married the love of my life, raised two kids, assisted in running multiple pizza stores, and developed my passion (ignited at age 12) for writing. Faith and family have always been central to my life along with my love of creating fictional characters and telling their stories.
I'm a long-time contributor to Oregon Coast Magazine where many of my articles—from travel to history to adventure—are accessible on the website (www.oregoncoastmagazine.com). As a novelist, I am passionate about stories with deep emotional heart and voicey writing that brings characters and setting to life. I write upper level YA.
In addition to writing, I'm an amateur nature and wildlife photographer and a synth keyboardist for my church worship band. My husband and I are former host parents of high school and college students from Europe and Asia and are currently involved in a ministry for people with developmental disabilities. We have a daughter who is a university professor and a son who runs his own business.
I live in northwest Oregon not far from the pristine beaches and rugged headlands of the Oregon Coast where I go, Nikon in hand, every chance I get!
